Loso Loaded “Stayed Down Video”: Watch Rapper Hit the Block With 36 Oz

Coming out of Atlanta, it pays to have your own style and set yourself apart from all of the skilled rappers around you. Loso Loaded, known earlier on in the game for his verse on SahBabii's certified gold single "Pull Up With Ah Stick," is unique, from his voice to the flows he chooses to employ. Today, he premieres his new video "Stayed Down," which also features 36 Oz and appears on Loso's new Bases Loaded Fully mixtape, with XXL.

According to Loso, the iNightLyfe-directed video was all about his life back home. "We just wanted to capture real, every day in the life in Atlanta, Ga., with myself and Big 36," he told XXL via email. "My whole team helped direct the video. It was really a new experience for me doing a video with straight B-roll, no words. The inspiration behind the song is my belief that whether or not you show me love, I'm still gonna show love, and to show that I stayed down. Me and Big 36 went through so much that people would never know, that's why he's on this song.

The video is a gritty peek into Loso's world, with him and 36 Oz holding court outside around the way. Various scenes of them drinking and smoking unfold, then we get to see more of their block. While the video has an edge to it, there's plenty of innocence to it, with scenes of small children dancing and smiling and Loso and 36 Oz's homies. There is love and fellowship here; there's nothing like support from home.

"I still show ’em love, love, I show them love, yeah ,I show them love," Loso sings on the song's hook, which is really about persevering, even when people are against you. "Stayed down to come up, they ain't like us, Really got it out the mud, they ain't nothin like us," precedes the hook, showing that Loso Loaded is cut from a different cloth than his opposition.

Expect more music on the way from Loso Loaded, too. "I just dropped Bases Loaded Fully, and I have a project called GOATMODE in the works. I'll be dropping a single off GOATMODE and MetroLoaded is on the way too." Busy guy.
