Ski Mask The Slump God continues his streak of teasing new music via social media posts. Yesterday (Oct. 18), the South Florida rapper uploaded an in-studio preview of some new music, in which he channels Pharrell a bit.

Kicking back while smoking a cigarette in front of a few studio monitors, Ski takes in the sound of his new tune, and gives a nod to the "Snoooop" part Pharrell produced on Snoop Dogg's 2004 single, "Drop It Like It's Hot." For Ski's part, he delivers a "Skrrrrr" and drops a similar melody to the original Pharrell and Snoop collab with his own lyrics.

“Y’all @ @Pharrell For Me,” Ski tweeted along with a preview of the track.

"Okay, baby be calling me Hercules, ‘cause this H on my waist, but this bitch it stand for Hermes," he raps in the first part of the stripped-down, Kenny Beats-produced track. The Skateboard P reference comes up toward the end of the video.

In what appears to be the hook for the new track, Ski Mask nods to "Drop It Like It's Hot.” The cadence and structure of the hook is similar to Snoop's "Drop It Like It's Hot," and there are even some whistle sounds in the background.

While Ski hasn't dropped his new song, it's gotten some praise from other folks in the hip-hop world. Chris Brown posted the clip in his Instagram story, while Desiigner, Bandhunta Izzy, Azealia Banks and Rich Brian have also given Ski Mask his props on the Instagram post for the track.

Ski Mask's new teaser is just the latest in what feels like an endless stream of song snippets he's uploaded to Instagram. Earlier this week, he teased a track seemingly by the name of "Cutthroat" while he was in the studio with Juice Wrld. In addition, he’s been teasing new tracks all summer while on tour.
