Don Q has responded on record to Kodak Black's threats toward him and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie earlier this month. The Bronx rapper told Power 105's The Breakfast Club today (Sept. 26) that Kodak called A Boogie to cool tensions, but he personally hasn't been contacted.

For context, Kodak jumped on Instagram Live on Sept. 15 and announced that he wanted to beat up A Boogie and Don, saying, "I'm finna punch these fuck niggas up." Two mornings later, the South Florida MC tweeted an apparent walk-back of sorts, writing, "Waking Up And Not Knowing What You Did Last Night Ain't Boss Shit."

The Breakfast Club's Angela Yee asked Don Q about the tweet. "He said he was drunk," she said. "Do you accept that?"

"He didn't tell me that. He told A Boogie that. I'm not A Boogie," Don responded. Asked whether Kodak called A Boogie on the phone, Q said, "Yeah." Moments later, he said, "I need to know what's going on," and dodged further questions, explaining, "When street shit is going on, you leave it in the streets."

Kodak Black and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie have collaborated in the past, including on Kodak's Painting Pictures track "Reminiscing" and A Boogie's The Bigger Artist single "Drowning." The origins of the beef remain unclear.

You can watch Don Q's full interview below. Discussion of Kodak Black's Instagram threats begin around the 1:42 mark.
