As a member of Jimmy Fallon's band on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Roots' lead MC, Black Thought, often takes part in some of the show's segments. During the Tuesday (Sept. 11) episode, the rapper sat down with Fallon and actor Matthew McConaughey to play a game of True Confessions.

After having to guess if stories that McConaughey and Fallon were telling about themselves were true, it was Black Thought's turn to tell his potentially fake story. According to the rapper, he once drove around with Kanye West in his trunk, as the producer tried to hide from the paparazzi.

Although the Streams of Thought Vol. 1 artist provided a good amount of details about the incident, including what year it occurred, what kind of car he was driving and who was in the passenger seat, he ultimately revealed he made the entire story up.

While Black Thought continues to serve as a member of The Tonight Show band, the rapper will also be joining forces with Phonte and Rhymefest to form a new group. The MCs broke the news last week, and according to producer S1, who will serve as a executive producer of their upcoming project, fans should expect to hear new music soon.
