Young M.A hosts a good old-fashioned pool party in her new "PettyWap" music video, released on Tuesday (July 10).

The ShotByCisco-directed visual captures all the best parts of summer kickbacks, from water guns and inflatable pool toys to fireworks and, of course, twerking contests. M.A barely distracts the crowd when she raps for the camera, whose presence almost feels incidental.

The song itself is less casual. The Brooklyn-bred rhymer reflects on a lost relationship, in the process dissing haters and contemplating what's next.

"Thinkin' 'bout my next move in my thinking chair/This chip is on my shoulder and it's stayin' there/'Cause I been through a lot of bull/And they can't stand me 'cause I'm misunderstood/And I need a bad bitch just to give her good good," she raps.

The track is M.A's first new song since March's "Praktice," which paid homage to Allen Iverson. She also dropped a nasty freestyle over Metro Boomin' and Southside's "I Get the Bag" beat in January.

Outside the booth, the "Ooouuu" rapper made her directorial debut in April with the all-women adult film The Gift, distributed by PornHub.
