6ix9ine might have gotten a nice co-sign from Nicki Minaj and Future, but it looks like he'll have to do just a bit more to gain the respect of Yasiin Bey. During a recent appearance on the third installment of the A$AP Mob's AWGE DVD, the rapper formerly known as Mos Def makes it clear he's not all that impressed with 6ix9ine's breakout video for "Gummo."

Watching the video on a MacBook, Yasiin delivers an uninterested stare as he takes in the raucous, star-making visual. As he's watching, he laments the idea that something like "Gummo" is considered new.

"Why everybody acting like this is new," Yasiin says. "This is a version of the same old shit." A few seconds after, the screen goes off and Yasiin can be heard saying, "This is the most depressing shit I've ever seen in my life."

While 6ix9ine just got some shade from a rap legend, the buzz around him continues. On the positive end of things, he was recently added to Future's joint tour with Nicki Minaj. In a bit more of unfortunate news, 6ix9ine was robbed last Sunday (July 22). While he was in some danger at the time, he appears to be all set now.

Taking the good with the bad, peep Yasiin Bey's reaction to "Gummo" below. Check out 6ix9ine's new video for "Fefe" when you're done.
