The 2018 XXL Freshman Class put in work at this year's cover shoot in New York City. The game's best prospects sat down with the magazine for interviews, freestyles and cyphers, as well as roundtable discussions. Now, we've gathered those roundtable interviews below for your viewing convenience.

The conversations reflect the diverse personalities of the featured artists. Smokepurpp, Lil Pump and BlocBoy JB giggle through excited reflections on their success, and the "Look Alive" rapper coins the term "crazytiers" to describe the trio's silly antics. Pump, for his part, says "eskeetit" twice.

Wifisfuneral, Stefflon Don and YBN Nahmir get more serious. All three express awe at the cover opportunity and share thoughts on the issue's legacy. Don discusses becoming the first Freshman from the United Kingdom, Wifi addresses his underdog status, and a blushing Nahmir reveals that he photoshopped his face onto the 2016 cover. "Now it's crazy because it's 2018 and it's happening right now," the Alabama teenager says.

Finally, J.I.D and Ski Mask The Slump God use their roundtable to nerd out. Both spitters say they watched every cypher from previous years in preparation for their turn. Still, Ski admits J.I.D.'s verse forced him to try harder. "This dude had to come and snap on the cypher real quick, had to make me sit down and think about mines," he says.
