Skooly lives up to the name of his latest single. On Tuesday (May 22), the 2 Chainz-endorsed rapper unloaded a new visual for his song "Baccstreet Boy," a cleverly titled track that finds the rapper spitting bars about his ties to the block.

"Baccstreet Boy" is a cut from Skooly's Don't You Ever Forget Me 2 EP, which is a project he dropped off back in March. Like other tracks on the project,  Skooly's latest is a tune that showcases some musical versatility.

The visual for the song finds Skooly acting as his own self-contained boy band. Just in case you didn't know, "Baccstreet Boy" is an allusion to famed 1990's boy group, Backstreet Boys. In the video, which carries a VHS-quality aesthetic, we see Skooly multiply as he takes on the personas of five different boy band members and rocks the stage.

Each member of the group embodies one of Skooly's different characteristics. There's street punk Skate and his mobster persona, Blacc Jon Gotti. Then, there's Skool Boy, his hipster side King Cosa, and Skooly himself. He really went all out.

Skooly flexes a bit of his melodic talents as he floats over the trap beat. "You know I come from the back streets yeah," he half-sings on the song.

The Atlanta rhymer also delivers a new three-song sampler this week. "Red Rum" featuring Kollison finds Skooly flexing over a rattling beat, "Sang a lil bit, Bang a lil bit" showcases his melodic singing over slow-burning production and "Secret" brings together Duke, Skippa Da Flippa and Yung Marley for a solid collab.

Over the past year or so, Skooly, who has collabed with 21 Savage in the past, has started to get just the sort of attention he deserves. With tight bars and a knack for melody, it doesn't look like that will be changing any time soon.
