Mother's Day isn't until Sunday (May 13), but 2 Chainz and YG decided to celebrate the holiday a few days early. The rappers appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday (May 10) to perform their collaboration, "Proud," and just like they did in the song's music video, they had their mothers right there with them.

With his mom sitting on the stage in white lounge chair, 2 Chainz spit his verse honoring her as she rapped along with him. Tity Boi was then joined on stage by YG, who danced with his mother and gave her a big hug as he rapped.

While Offset wasn't there to join his partners on the track, 2 Chainz made up for his absence by debuting a new "Proud" verse. “Everything around me is heavenly/My mama group was Maze and Frankie Beverly,” he rapped over a remake of Frankie Beverly and Maze's “Joy and Pain.” “Just got engaged at the Met Gala/I didn’t want my kids to have a step daddy!" he continued.

"Proud" is featured on 2 Chainz's four-track EP, The Play Don't Care Who Makes It. Along with the YG and Offset collaboration, the project also features the songs "Land of the Freaks" and "Lamborghini Truck (Atlanta Shit)."

Up next for 2 Chainz, it appears a wedding is in the cards. Earlier this week during the 2018 Met Gala, the College Park, Ga. rapper proposed to his longtime partner, Nakesha Ward. 2 Chainz has previously referred to Ward as his wife in the past but he may just be trying to make it official now.
