After dropping his Yours Truly Forever album in 2017, Phora returns with his latest song "Boss Up" and shares visuals for the new track.

The George Orozco and 6th Element-directed video finds Phora turning up with his crew, which includes Trippie Redd, as he raps about his come up. "Fake friends switch sides, look, I can never switch sides (aye)/I'm just count this money, switch these lanes, switch my ride (aye)/Now they say is my time (aye), I'm just tryna stay alive (yeah)/Almost lost my life three times, I just gotta thank God (aye)," he raps over a piano-driven instrumental.

"Boss Up" is the first new offering from Phora since dropping his debut album in August. The 16-track album includes the songs "Loyalty," "Numb," "Sinner Pt. 2" and "God." Following the release of the album, Phora and Trippie were tapped to join G-Eazy on the Oakland rapper's The Beautiful & Damned Tour.

The trek, which kicked off on Feb. 15 in Houston, continues through March 20 as the rappers make stops Chicago, Toronto, Washington, D.C., Atlantic City, N.J. and Boston before wrapping up in New York at Radio City Music Hall.

XXL caught up with the 23-year-old in 2017 and asked him about his goals in hip-hop. According to the California-native, he has his sights set on being a legend. "I just feel the passion in my music is different and these days it's rare," he said. "I have a story to tell."
