Before the 2018 XXL Freshman class will be revealed this summer, the Freshman hopefuls are here to show and prove why they deserve a spot in this year’s class. The 10th Spot voting has officially launched, which means hip-hop's rising newcomers are vying for a spot on the 2018 XXL Freshman cover.

Famous Dex has been keen on leaving controversy in the past and turning over a new leaf. The 24-year-old Chicago rapper, signed to Rich The Kid's Rich Forever Music and 300 Entertainment, has built a following thanks to standout records like “Drip From My Walk,” “I’m Cool” and the A$AP Rocky-featured "Pick It Up," which peaked at No. 54 on the Billboard pop chart and has been streamed more than 125 million times on Spotify. Dex took a breather for much of 2017, but he's already come back strong in 2018 with "Japan" and "In the Bank" with YoungBoy Never Broke Again. Finally, it just might be Famous Dex's time to shine.

Now that you've watched his pitch, it's time to vote. The 2018 XXL Freshman 10th Spot will run for one week. This is where the public gets the chance to vote an artist into the XXL Freshman Class. Go here to make your vote count for your favorite artist.
