Backwood Jones, formerly known as YP,  is gearing up for a new project but before the record drops, the rapper shares his latest video for "Love" featuring Shawnna.

The APJ Films-directed video finds Backwood Jones and Shawnna posted up in a house as they spit their hard-hitting bars. "Got the bomb on the dope, like Hiroshima/Keep the bitches rollin' more than Ike and Tina/Someone hold my body, I'ma keep a heater/Bet the neck is full of frozen—Aquafina/Serving niggas like I got subpoenas," he raps.

According to Backwood Jones, the inspiration for the video came from Shawnna. "Once she gave me the blessing of giving me a verse, she caught my by surprise and said, 'So when are we doing the video?'" the rapper tells XXL. "It was nothing for me and APJ to hurry up and tackle it. It's not everyday a legend hits you and wants to fully collaborate."

"Love" will be featured on Backwood Jones' upcoming project, 7236, which he says he hopes to finish this year. "My plans for 2018 are to complete 7236 and gain a new ear every day," he says. "The grind never stops."

Last August, the Chicago rapper dropped his latest EP, Blind Alley. The four-track project finds Backwood Jones linking up with producer HearonTrackz and features a guest appearance from Jared Lanell. Blind Alley features the songs "Windows" and "With You."

The rhymer also recently teamed up with fellow Windy City artist The Boy Illinois for the song "90/94 Freestyle," which is featured on Illinois' mixtape, Windy.
