6ix9ine Previews New Music Alongside Swizz Beatz

Seemingly overnight, 6ix9ine has become one of the most talked-about new artists in the rap world. Then it's no coincidence the rapper has recently been spotted in the studio with the legendary Swizz Beatz.

Shot in what looks like a recording studio, the visual finds Swizzy, who's currently working on a new project, and 6ix9ine bouncing around to a new song. Featuring a bass-heavy instrumental and 6ix9ine's XXXTentacion-esque guttural yells, it's a track created in the same vein as his breakout single, "Gummo."

6ix9ine's gotten a lot of attention since dropping the video for "Gummo" last month, and it doesn't seem like that will be going away any time soon. With his distinctive rainbow-colored hair and the number 69 tatted on his forehead, the Brooklyn rapper, born Daniel Hernandez, looks a lot like an invention created in mad scientist's viral laboratory—and his music slaps.

Tekashi's also been known for his association with the ascendant Trippie Redd, who originally sent him the Pierre Bourne-produced "Gummo" beat. It appears their friendship has dissolved, though, as Trippie recently reported that 6ix9ine had him jumped while he stayed in his New York City hotel.

“Bro a bitch," Trippie said in the video a little while back. "Bro had niggas waiting for me at my hotel. Some Nine Trey [a New York set of the Bloods] niggas. Soon as I walk in the building, hit right in my mouth, nigga. Then my niggas beat his niggas’ asses and then they ran. I chased the niggas mostly myself, I ran them niggas down myself.” 6ix9ine later confirmed his involvement with the attack.
