This past weekend, Lil B claimed he was jumped by A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and crew at the inaugural 2017 Rolling Loud Bay Area, and within moments, the internet let its disappointment be known. On Sunday night (Oct. 22), headliner ScHoolboy Q used some of his time onstage to implore the audience, and fans in general, to protect Lil B.

After thanking the Rolling Loud orchestrators for having him headline the Bay Area iteration of the star-studded music fest, Q issued his PSA. "Thank you muthafuckas for always supporting me. This that Cali connection my nigga," he said. "And always protect Lil B, fuck that bullshit."

Lil B was supposed to perform at the rap festival, but after he was jumped in an incident that was caught on camera, he decided to step onto the stage and announce what had just happened instead.

"A Boogie and his whole crew just jumped me in the back and beat me up in the back. That shit crazy, man," the perpetually cheery MC told the crowd. "But I'm gon' tell y'all like this. It's all love. I don't promote violence. I'm never with the violence. So I love them and it's all good."

A short while later, Lil B revealed that it was a comment about A Boogie's music that led to his assault. A Boogie, who dropped his debut album last month, has yet to comment on the matter.
