Lin-Manuel Miranda is a composer, playwright and actor, but during a recent appearance on the Sway in the Morning radio show, the Hamilton creator reminded listeners that he's also a lyricist.

As many guests often do on the show, Miranda stepped up to the plate to take on the 5 Fingers of Death challenge. Rapping over five different beats, Miranda kicked off his freestyle with a few bars about Colin Kaepernick. "Before we stand, we have to kneel/And I will kneel with the Colin," he rapped.

Lin-Manuel also took it old school, rapping about random words given to him by Sway. The rapper spit bars about world harmony, Barack Obama and more over beats such as Big Pun's "100%" and Black Sheep's "The Choice is Yours."

Elsewhere during his appearance, Miranda was asked to name his favorite hip-hop albums. Assuring listeners the choices were his personal favorites, Miranda listed The Notorious B.I.G.'s Ready to Die, Big Pun's Capitol Punishment and Lauryn Hill's The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. The artist rounded out his top five with OutKast's Stankonia and The Pharcyde's Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde.

As expected, Miranda was also asked for his thoughts on President Trump and his home country of Puerto Rico. Speaking about Trump tossing paper towels to a crowd in Puerto Rico, Lin-Manuel said, "A lot of people were saying that was the president’s Marie Antoinette ‘let them eat cake moment’ and we will see if that is the case or not. But I know that did not go over well with anyone with a beating heart or pulse."
