Vic Mensa Gets Trippy in “Rollin’ Like a Stoner” Video

After releasing his debut album The Autobiography in August, Vic Mensa is back with a new music video for the song "Rollin' Like a Stoner."

Directed by Mensa, the Chicago rapper provides viewers with John Waters-esque visuals that perfectly match the song's title. "The 'Rolling Like A Stoner' video is about reckless abandon and escapism," said Vic. "The whole thing was filmed on a stage, as a comment on life as an entertainer. I was watching films like Bye Bye Life and Birdman, and 1920s westerns."

Up next for Mensa, the 24-year-old will be joining JAY-Z as the opening act on his upcoming 4:44 Tour. The 31-city tour will kick off on Oct. 27 in Anaheim, Calif. before the rappers make stops in New Orleans, Miami, Atlanta, Detroit, Boston, Washington, D.C., New York and more.

But before Vic heads out on the road with Hov, he will be teaming up with Tidal and MusiCares for a hurricane relief benefit concert. The Sept. 30 pop-up show taking place at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City will look to raise goods and money for victims of the recent storms.

“With so many heartbreaking events happening across the world, I’m eager to lend my support to victims of the recent hurricanes and other natural disasters,” he said. “MusiCares initiative is doing amazing things on behalf of the music community so it’s a perfect match.”
