Nicky D’s Drops “House of Pain” and “Coexist” Videos

Nicky D's returns. Recently, the Moreno Valley, Calif.-based rapper unveiled two new visuals for his songs "House of Pain" and "Coexist"—tracks that find the West Coast rapper tackling everything from his own come up to the current landscape of hip-hop.

"House of Pain" is produced by Scott Storch. In the Crime City Films-directed "House of Pain" video, Nicky takes fans to his native Moreno Valley as he spits about being abandoned by his father and making it out of poverty. "My pops left—he had stage fright/Feel like Conor McGregor up in a cage fight," raps Nicky, who linked with Lil Yachty and Young Thug on his single, "New Day," back in August.

Fittingly, footage of Nicky D's in Moreno Valley is interspersed with clips of him performing in front of packed crowds, enjoying his current status as a rising rap star. Gotta respect the come-up, and the fact that he's got Everlast in the video. Everlast was the frontman for legendary 1990s rap trio, "House of Pain."

"Coexist" finds the rapper addressing the perceived hypocrisy of the rap game's older heads who bash the younger ones. Considering that Nicky initially made his name as a rapper with a throwback style and that he's now touring alongside Lil Yachty, he's in a pretty good position to rap about this topic.

"Biggie and ’Pac went diamond, so fuck being mad at some youngins for flexing they diamonds/pointing they guns and talkin' 'bout shining, that's how they rhyming/New kids got Xans, in the ’90s ya'll smoked Sherm/...when you set that example, that's what the fuck they gon’ learn," Nicky spits, juxtaposing the past and present of rap.

The "Coexist" visual finds Nicky traveling on Yachty's Teenage tour, roaming around different cities and rocking the crowd. Looks like he had a good time.
