Joey Badass Rides Through the City in “500 Benz” Video

Joey Bada$$ is riding in style in the video for "500 Benz." In the DaBigPicture-directed video, Joey flexes as he spits about "500 Benz, AMG package/'95 classic, rare Gucci jacket/With the Cartier glasses, just to match it" on the song's chorus.

The soulful Statik Selektah-produced beat fits well with the song's visuals. The saturated colors are like looking through Joey's aforementioned Cartier glasses. The song's video gets pretty literal once the second verse hits: "Chick in my passenger seat, she lookin' like she came out the pageant/And she down for anything that I ask or imagine/So I hit the corner store and copped a pack of the Magnums, shit/’Cause I ain't playin' no games/Lil R&B chick and I ain't sayin' no names," raps the Pro Era general as he visits a bodega before riding off into the night with his female passenger.

"500 Benz" isn't the first video Joey dropped off in August. Earlier this month, he released the "Temptations" video on Tidal. This summer, he also announced the release of the much anticipated Capital Steez album, King Capital.

Joey has been having an interesting summer. There were rumors that the rapper was wearing special glasses after looking directly at the sun earlier this month during the eclipse. He would later post a tweet to clear up any misconceptions. However, the New York MC had to cancel multiple stops on his tour with Logic after the incident.
