It looks like Jim Jones is going to be the latest rapper to jump into the world of drama. Recently, Jimmy popped up in a new trailer for The Lineup, a forthcoming series created by director Anky Cyriaque. Check it out for yourself below.

The new series (it's unclear if it's web-based or for TV) will follow the exploits of women who use their charm, street savvy and sex appeal to dominate the streets and the men who believe they run it. In the trailer for the new series, which will include the likes of Love & Hip Hop TV personality Tahiry Jose, The Wire actor Julito McCullum, and Power star Darik Bernard, we see Jimmy getting stuck up by one of those ladies.

In the clip, the Roc Nation rapper is posted up in his whip just minding his own business when a masked woman hops into the car and prepares to rob him at gunpoint. Honestly, Jimmy looks pretty damn frightened, so good job on his part.

The production team for The Lineup is composed of Quenelle Jones (director of photography) and Cyrus Baron (sound department), who's worked on projects like John Wick, Project Runway, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. At this point, it's unclear when and where the show will premiere.

All together, The Lineup, with its cast and gritty street plot, looks to be another show in the vein of Power or The Wire, so it's definitely something to look out for.
