Cardi B Sets the Record Straight on Whether or Not She’s Engaged to Offset

Two months after the release of "Bodak Yellow," Cardi B is the talk of the hip-hop world, and some of that talk has circled around her rumored engagement to Offset. Speaking to Charlamagne Tha God at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards pre-show, the ascendant Bronx rapper pretty much put that speculation to rest.

During a conversation that touched on everything from her hit single—which recently reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart—to potential nervousness about performing at the awards pre-show, Charlamagne asks Cardi if she is, indeed, engaged to the Migos member. She responds by breaking out into song.

“Does you see a ring on my ring finger?” she sings in the video below. “Boy, is you gon’ marry me?” After a few moments of singing a rhetorical question of Offset, Cardi gets more serious about her answer.

“I’m a woman,” she tells Charlamagne. “Every woman, I think, wants to get married and wants to have children. It’s never too early to get married now. You know, if you want to propose to me, you can.”

Us Weekly confirms Cardi denies the engagement. "Looking like I'm getting married," Cardi told the outlet on the red carpet about her white dress. "But I'm not there."

Cardi B and Offset might not be engaged, but the Migos member did recently cop her an icy new chain, and they have been dating for a few months now. Maybe it will happen.
