Brace yourself—Carti Season approaches. Last night (March 12), Playboi Carti used his Twitter account to unveil a brand new promo clip for his upcoming mixtape.

The slightly surreal new Hidji Films-directed video sees the Atlanta rapper clutching on a blunt and a Styrofoam cup as he reclines in his whip with some of his new music playing in the background. At different points in the clip, we see VHS noise footage color his Styrofoam cup as his song continues playing. Not sure what it means, but it all looks pretty damn cool.

Carti drops this visual just a few days after releasing "Lookin" and "Woke Up Like This," two new tracks featuring Lil Uzi Vert. The two tracks are certified bangers and landed on XXL's songs of the week last Friday. Chances are they'll be on Carti's upcoming debut tape, said to be dropping this month.

A little while back, XXL caught up with Carti to discuss his plans for 2017, and he said he wanted his mixtape to guide younger rappers in the music industry.

“I just want niggas to look at it and say, ‘If this young nigga from Atlanta can do this, so can I.’ I want everybody to get money. My new mixtape is going to show niggas this is the way,” he said at the time.

There's still no word on when exactly Carti's new project is dropping. Based on his new promo clip, which you can see for yourself below, it's coming soon. Stay tuned.
