Tyler, The Creator has a new documentary about the making of his 2015 album, Cherry Bomb. Yesterday (Feb. 20), a clip from the film emerged, in which Lil Wayne says Tyler helped him become even more fearless with his lyrics.

"First of all, Tyler changed the game," Weezy says in the video, which you can view below. "Maybe I probably had a line that I knew I wouldn’t say because people might think it was too gross to put in a rap. Or it didn’t go with the whole vibe of the song. But I’d think about how Tyler [would] say this shit. He really be spittin, tho."

That's high praise from Tunechi, who's known for some of rap's most out-there lyrics long before Tyler entered the game. In fact, many would argue Wayne paved the way for an artist like Tyler, so it's interesting Weezy is giving Tyler so much credit.

At the end of the clip, Weezy offers some inspirational words to the general public: “Work hard, be somebody, be something more than what you see in the mirror. Let the world be your mirror, don’t let them judge you, cause the mirror can’t judge you. You judge what you see in the mirror.”

Tyler's Cherry Bomb documentary recently leaked online, but it's not officially out yet. The movie will also feature cameos from Kanye West, Pharrell and more. To see another exclusive clip of Tyler's film, you can check out this video, which details the making of the song "2 SEATER."
