Snoop Dogg Says Comedian Ricky Harris’ Funeral Service Was Beautiful Despite Fighting Rumors

After rumors surfaced that a fight broke out at comedian Ricky Harris' funeral on Tuesday (Jan. 3), video footage of the incident has emerged. TMZ reports an upset relative attempted to assault Snoop Dogg but his crew prevented that from happened. Daz Dillinger was reportedly one of the men who stopped the fight from going down.

The funeral service for comedian Ricky Harris was held yesterday (Jan. 3). Afterwards, Harris' close friend Snoop Dogg recorded an Instagram video and called the service "beautiful."

"Beautiful service today," Snoop says in the above video. "Oh yeah - the devil is a mothafuckin’ lie. Yeah he is. We had a great time, great service. Rick, your spirit lives on by the LBC’s finest. Rick Harris, rest in paradise."

Though Snoop called the service beautiful, there were rumors of a fight occurring at the funeral home. Actress and TV personality Sherri Shepherd recorded an Instagram video from the service and gave the rundown of a fight between an unnamed person and one of Snoop's bodyguards.

"It’s sad. They’re fighting at a funeral," Shepherd says in the clip, which you can view below. "It’s so disrespectful. Oh my gosh, it is so disrespectful. We’re at Ricky Harris’ funeral, and we’re about to go see the body, and someone came in the funeral home and went towards Snoop, and Snoop’s bodyguard tackled him and it was just a big fight and it was so disrespectful to Ricky Harris."

Harris died on Dec. 26 from a heart attack at just 54 years old. He contributed skits to classic hip-hop albums as Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle, Ice Cube’s AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted, Warren G’s Regulate… G Funk Era and more. As a result, Harris was a dear friend to many people in the hip-hop community.

The rap world mourned the loss of Harris on social media. “Lost one of my dear friends today,” Snoop said. “A lot of y’all may know him as a comedian but he was a real dear friend of mine. Long Beach original. The first comedian from Long Beach to make it, the first entertainer to make it from Long Beach.”
