Machine Gun Kelly Pulls Up on the “Dopeman” in New Video

Machine Gun Kelly first worked with director Steven Caple Jr. on the 2016 film The Land. The Cleveland MC decided to reunite with Caple to craft a music video for "Dopeman," which appears on The Land's soundtrack.

"After working with Steven Caple Jr. on the movie The Land, it was only right that we collaborated on the "Dopeman" video," MGK shares. "I envisioned a cinematic video that I knew he could deliver, and the visuals he presented surpassed my expectations... I think we found the perfect blend of the streets & visual art."

The video sees MGK getting his supply before he and his crew roll up on their rivals. Later on, the Ohio rapper stops off at a laundromat and spits some of the lessons he's learned.

"I just got a scale by the way/Shout out Patty Cake by the way/Told me never put a whole gram in a dime/Give 'em point seven and them fools be fine/But how you gon' sell by the way/You ain't got a clientele by the way/I'ma hit Tri-C wit a couple packs/And if the motherfuckers selling, I'ma double back/Phone ringing more than the operator/And the dealers who deliver getting all the paper/I spend Sunday trapping on Union/Serving my people like Communion," he raps.

The Land soundtrack is available now on multiple digital outlets. The project features contributions by Nas, Kanye West, Pusha T, Dave East, Erykah Badu, Stalley, French Montana, Fashawn and Jerreau.
