Lil Yachty Stays Strapped in “Shoot Out the Roof” Video
Lil Yachty delivers a creative music video for "Shoot Out the Roof," a standout track from the 19-year-old artist's Summer Songs 2 mixtape. The Phil Jackson-directed visual finds the rapper strapped in an unconventional way.
Throughout the two-and-a-half-minute clip, Lil' Boat and the Sailing Team enter an empty warehouse wearing ski goggles and all-white painter's outfits. Armed with paintball guns, Yachty and his team cover the walls with color, jump up and down on couches and hit their dance moves under a shower of balloons.
"Nigga you ain't Uzi, you ain't Carti damn sure not me," the 2016 XXL Freshman spits. "Never on the scene, what you mean, nigga yadda mean/Ballin like Yao Ming, paint her face, nigga just like Sting/Came up popping beans then I dropped it cause I'm not a fiend/All you niggas wanna be me, rub the pussy for a genie/Your bank account looking teeny, Tina Turner, big burner."
In other Yachty-related news, the rising ATL star recently collaborated with Young Dolph for "Bagg," a track slated to appear on Dolph's upcoming project, Gelato. On "Bagg," Lil' Boat raps, “I got the bagg, I got a swag in a box still with tags/Show’ em my riches ’cause I came from rags/Jacksonville shorty, my bitch drive a Jag/Nigga run up on my sole, he’ll get dragged."
After a breakout 2016 for Yachty, the red-haired rhymer is ready to blow up even more in 2017. So far, he's off to a good start.
