Watch Childish Gambino’s Virtual Reality Video for “Me and Your Mama”

About a week after releasing his latest effort, Awaken, My Love!, Childish Gambino has just served up a cool new virtual reality video for his single "Me and Your Mama." Peep the new visual up top.

Gambino gave fans their first chance to see the virtual reality video through his PHAROS app a little over a week ago. Described as an “an immersive experience," the video showcases Gambino performing the track at his PHAROS event earlier this year. Possibly trying to capture the funkadelic vibe of the song, he's painted in a way that makes him look like a character from Avatar. Gambino seems to be  having a good time singing the soulful, funky new track to the enthused audience, and who could blame him?

2016 has been an ascendant one for the rapper-actor now more commonly referred to as his birth name Donald Glover. This past fall, he premiered his new TV series Atlanta and has drawn widespread acclaim for his role acting and producing for the show. Now, his album Awaken, My Love!, is earning the same sort of respect from critics.
