Macklemore appears on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and gives a moving performance of his song "Drug Dealer."

Rocking a white tanktop, black jeans and white sneakers, Macklemore delivers an energetic live rendition of the track that appeared in the MTV documentary Prescription for Change: Ending America’s Opioid Crisis. Throughout the four-minute performance, Macklemore is aided by both a live band and singer Ariana Deboo. You can view the clip in its entirety above via YouTube.

The song is about drug dependency. Macklemore raps about the problems with the pharmaceutical industry in America, spitting on verse one, "They said it wasn't a gateway drug/My homie was takin' subs and he ain't wake up/The whole while, these billionaires, they kicked up/Paying out congress so we take their drugs/Murderers who will never face the judge/And we dancin' to a song about our face goin' numb/But I seen homies turn grey, noses draining blood/I could've been gone, off 30s, faded in that tub/That's Prince, Michael and Whitney, that's Amy, Ledger and Pimp C/That's Yams, that's DJ A.M/God damn they're making a killing."

In other Macklemore-related news, the Seattle artist recently wrote an open letter to his daughter after Donald Trump's election win. “I don’t have control over Donald Trump becoming president,” Macklemore wrote. “That has been decided. But what I do have control over is where I go from here. I will teach my daughter to love. All people, regardless of the color of their skin, gender, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or where their birth certificate says they’re from. I will teach her how important it is to be an advocate for humanity. Not just the portion of humanity that benefits her. I will teach her non violent communication. That in the face of hatred we must love each other even harder. Not give in. Not get discouraged or feel like our progress in the past is void."
