DJ Khaled Reunites Nas and Ox From ‘Belly’ for “Nas Album Done” Video

DJ Khaled's ability to connect artists, to serve as the facilitator for collaborations and promote unity is perhaps his biggest contribution to the game and he does just that with his latest video. Taking his positivity and cloth talk down to a tropical locale, Khaled reuniting Nas and dancehall and reggae artist Louie Rankin otherwise known as Ox for his "Nas Album Done" video, the two last seen on screen together in the 1998 crime drama Belly.

The near nine minute video is a cinematic experience, Khaled hopping out of a Rolls Royce to recruit Ox in his mission to uplift the yout dem. Directed by Eif Rivera and Khaled himself, the video alternates between portraits of poverty and ones of extravagance, Khaled riding a horse through shallow ocean water, cigar cued up, or later, shaking champagne while poolside. At the video's conclusion, Ox summarizes Khaled's quest, saying,  "I don’t want to kill people no more. I don’t want my soldier kill nobody no more. I want the world and the law and the government to see that we’re uplifting them."

A few weeks back, Khaled teased the "Nas Album Done" video on Snapchat and with the visuals now fully out, it's safe to say the hype was real. Khaled’s latest album, Major Key, is officially his first to go No. 1 on the Billboard Album 200 charts, and "Nas Album Done" is just one of many tracks from it to make waves this summer.
