XXL Freshman 2016 is coming and the freshman hopefuls are gearing up to possibly make this year’s class. With the 10th Spot voting happening now, we have to let the potentials tell us why they should appear on this year’s cover.

The next pitch comes from Lil Uzi Vert. The Philly rapper has been making a name for himself over the past year after an appearance on Carnage’s “WDYW” began to build his buzz. The DJ Drama and Don Cannon protégé is readily building his stock with collaborations from Metro Boomin, 2 Chainz and Wiz Khalifa. In recent months, Uzi also inked a deal with Atlantic Records. Watch above as he tells us why he should appear on the coveted XXL Freshman list.

The XXL Freshman 10th Spot will run for one week. This is where the public gets the chance to vote an artist into the XXL Freshman Class.
