Kodak Black drops the video for "Like Dat" from his standout Institution mixtape. Rolling 50-deep into the club, Kodak performs in front of a sold out crowd before heading back to his hotel room to count his stacks and blow a few blunts. With a shower cap adorned upon his head, Kodak moves effortlessly across the stage and shows off his dance moves as the crowd bops along to his music.

The Florida rapper is one to keep an eye out for in 2016 as he's been cosigned by everyone from Kevin Gates to Kendall Jenner. One of the biggest moments of his career thus far was an Instagram post by Drake that featured him dancing to Kodak's "SKRT." In BET's min-documentary series Prelude, Kodak is asked about the co-sign.

“I heard about, but I didn’t know what that did,” Kodak said. “I just knew that was Drake, so… You trying to show you fuck with me or what? We ain’t never talked on the phone, like he was texting me and shit. I’m direct with it. So, if you’re trying to show me that you fuck with me, call me. Throw me on your album so I can get me some royalties.”

XXL spoke with the rising MC about his inspirations and while his music is clearly influenced by Boosie, it's a New York rapper that he identified with early on. "Nas," he said. "He wasn’t really my generation but I grew up around older people so I branched off of Nas. Boosie because when I was coming up ‘Youngest of the Camp’ Lil Boosie dropped that mixtape. I was always the youngest one in the camp around other people. I fucks with B.G. too."

Catch Kodak this summer at the Rolling Loud Festival in Miami this May.
