G Herbo’s Pitch for XXL Freshman 2016 [Video]

XXL Freshman 2016 is coming and the freshman hopefuls are gearing up to possibly make this year’s class. With the 10th Spot voting happening now, we have to let the potentials tell us why they should appear on this year’s cover.

First up, G Herbo. When you think of bubbling Chicago rappers, G Herbo is undoubtedly one of the first names that comes to mind. Over the past few years,he has cultivated a steady fanbase, released three mixtapes (Welcome To Fazoland, Pistol P Project and Ballin Like I’m Kobe), and garnered a co-sign from Nicki Minaj. In early 2015, Herbo inked a management deal with Cinematic Music Group, the acclaimed independent record label and management company behind acts like Joey Bada$$ and Big K.R.I.T. The Cinematic/Machine Entertainment/150 Dream Team rapper is finally making the appropriate changes to take his career to the next level. Watch above as he tells us why he should appear on the coveted XXL Freshman list.
