XXL Freshman 2016 is coming and the freshman hopefuls are gearing up to possibly make this year’s class. With the 10th Spot voting happening now, we have to let the potentials tell us why they should appear on this year’s cover.

Now up, is newcomer Desiigner. The latest G.O.O.D. Music signee is without a doubt making an impact in the game right now with his refreshing sound that's been compared to Atlanta sensation Future. Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, Desiigner broke onto the scene earlier this year with his infectious tune, "Panda." The record not only helped New York native, but it earned him a feature spot on Kanye West's seventh studio album, The Life of Pablo. Now, after destroying every stage at SXSW with his energetic performance, the Brooklyn rapper looks to continue proving his haters wrong. Watch above as he tells us why he should appear on the coveted XXL Freshman list.
