Chief Keef Sparks a Riot in “Faneto” Video

Chief Keef puts the retirement talk on hold just long enough to drop the overdue video for his street smash "Faneto." Describing himself as a "gorilla in a fuckin' coupe," Keef and his partners are in a zoo setting as a young girl looks between the bars. What she finds is the Chicago rapper dressed in foreign designer clothing, smoking on massive joints and throwing shots at the entire state of New Jersey. Spliced with clips of Keef performances and wildlife fights, the J.R. Saint-directed visual shows the rapper in a chair fit for a king, letting everyone know that he's the true patriarch of drill music.

Chief Keef's beef with the Garden State stems from a 2014 attempted chain-snatching incident during a Keef club performance in Elizabeth, NJ. While in the club, a group of men tried and failed to rob Sosa's jewelry. After the attempted robbery, the rapper used "Faneto" to threaten the entire state.

"I'm riding through New York/Finna go and blow New Jersey up/Tryna take my chain, it ain't goin'/We gon' come and blow New Jersey up," he raps.

Jersey gang members have since dissed Chief Keef and warned him not to step foot in the state. In an Oct. 2014 tweet, Keef clarified that he doesn't have beef with the whole state, "I love all my real fans in New Jersey," he wrote. "It's just for them sucka hatin ass niggas. They got smoke comin'. Die down!"
