Drake and Rihanna’s “Work” not only scored Drizzy his second No. 1 single and Rih her 14th on the Billboard 100 Charts, but it also marked PARTYNEXTDOOR’s first No. 1 hit as well. The Canadian crooner penned the island banger and now we get to hear a sample of the reference track.

Actress Keke Palmer shared videos on her Snapchat of herself eating pizza while listening to a version of “Work,” which sounded very much like PND. The reference track sounds very similar to the original as PND’s own accent mimics that of Rih’s on the final cut. While we like PND's rendition, we are happy Rih Rih got to work it. Just imagine if PND would have kept the track, Drake would have had to wait for another opportunity to wine all up on Rihanna’s goods.

PND celebrated the news by leaking the track and thanking Drake and Rihanna with special behind-the-scenes video of the in-studio writing process. “My first #1 as a songwriter. Thank you @badgalriri and @champagnepapi for the opportunity. Album on the way,” he wrote in the caption.

The “Girl From Oakland” singer is currently working on his forthcoming album. He revealed to Fader in May 2015 that he wants to record “100 songs” for the project. "The album's coming. I wanna make 100 songs for my album. I work very fast, but I haven't reached 100 yet. So when I get to 100, I'll pick from them.,” he told Fader. The singer was also very ambitious about the list of guest appearances he plans to have. "I have collaborators, but that's a secret," he said. "[My] dream list is like Tupac and Biggie. That's the dream list, but hopefully everything else is realistic".

By the sounds of “Work,” we’re looking forward to PND penning more hits.
