It doesn’t take much to make video these days. A camera, a destination, a couple racks and maybe other props to stunt, and the talent—of course. For the visuals for his latest single, “HollyHood,” Pompano Beach, Fla. rookie rhymer Kodak Black kept it that simple.

Decked out in a gold grills and chain, a BMV “motorsport” polo and complimenting backpack, Kodak flexes in the video that centers around the candy apple red Beamer he’s posted in. The NMG Visuals-directed video is just as raw and real as the track, similar to throwback Gucci Mane or Chicago drill rappers breakout videos where there's no glitz or glam. The mood fits Kodak's lyrics well.

Fuck the industry, I'm in the streets / I ain't never been to Hollywood / I’m not Hollywood, I'm Hollyhood / I don't wanna go to Hollywood,” Kodak rhymes on the hook of the track off his recent 23-track effort Institution.

Institution is the follow up to his 2013 tape Heart of the Projects, which featured the smash hit “SKRT.” He explained the meaning behind the title of the project to XXL back in January. “While I was in Virginia, I was writing down songs then I came up with the mixtape name. Institution is like an everyday thing that goes on, stuck in one mind. It can be mental health, mental illness, substance abuse or work, what you wake up and do every day.” The young MC is just getting started and has plans to make it in the industry. "Kodak Black, just watch me do my thing. Whatever I do, just watch how far I take it," he said.
