French Montana and A$AP Rocky are the two most high-profile New York MCs in the game and in the "Off The Rip Remix" video, the rappers pay tribute to two men who were instrumental in helping them achieve their current status. As images of the late A$AP Yams and Chinx flash behind them, Rocky and French make their fallen comrades proud as they ditch the high-budget videos for a gritty clip directed by Spiff TV that drums up memories of Flacko's "Purple Swag" video. Never rolling solo, the two uptown natives are joined by the likes of A$AP Nast, A$AP Lou and reality TV star Scott Disick.

The "Off The Rip (Remix)" appears on French's Max B-hosted Wave Gods mixtape. Along with Rocky, the tape features other heavyweights like Future, Nas, Kanye West, Travis Scott, Big Sean, Diddy, Jadakiss and Chinx.

Much like French, Rocky's year is off to a big start. Thanks to his strong appearance in Dope last year, Rocky landed a cameo in Zoolander 2 and a voiceover role in the Marvel Avengers Academy video game. Last Sunday, the Harlem native took A$AP Yams’ mother with him to the 2016 Grammy Awards and later that week (Feb. 18), he appeared with his A$AP brethren on the street cut “Lords Never Worry,” which may appear on the long-awaited Cozy Tapes, a project conceived by the late Yams.

It’s the Yams album that he was working on before he passed,” the “Everyday” rapper told Hot 97. “So it’s basically an A$AP collective. Like your Ruff Ryders Volume 1…or like Diplomatic Immunity….He broke down in his notes and he would tell me who he wants on there. We was about to start working on it.”

Based on that description, there's a good chance Montana will pop up on Cozy Tapes.
