Where there is Twitter beef there is Azealia Banks. The Harlem MC, known to use social media as her platform for airing out her grievances with the music industry and the rap game, let her Twitter fingers take aim at another target on Monday (Feb. 22) calling out Rihanna and the newly released visuals for her chart-topper “Work.”

"Work video reminds me of 'Baby Boy' video with Sean Paul, except not as fly,” the Broke With Expensive Taste rhymer tweeted, referring to Beyonce’s 2002 island mash-up with the reggae artist. Rihanna released the Jamaican-inspired, dance party-themed video just hours before Banks took to Twitter to give her review of the Director X cut. Besides bashing the video, Banks had a view choice words for Rihanna too. "All these fucking pill-popping divas doing the least, and the shit is boring," said the Harlem MC. "Get these hoes a coffee and a pair of boxing gloves."

Like Kanye, Banks has little care for holding her tongue when it comes to her opinions. But then again her latest rant could have just been something to do in the midst of boredom. "Music is honestly so fucking trash and boring," the “Chasing Time” rapper tweeted. "Let's start a fucking beef and make shit interesting." Although she deleted the comment and shifted the conversation from Rihanna to the business, it was too late as the Navy already caught wind. Rih Rih supporters immediately clapped back. “Look at Rihanna's career... Now at Azealia's... Now back to Rihanna. Rih has no competition while Azealia's talkin smack #NAVY #RihannaNavy,” one person tweeted. Another wrote, “Azealia Banks is so desperate for a feature with Rihanna she'll settle for a quote tweet.”

This is not the first time Banks came for Rih. Following the Jan. 28 release of ANTI the rhymer sent out a series of direct tweets, which fans took to be jabs at Rih. “The point of being versatile is not to just throw a bunch of random genres together,” Banks wrote. “There is an art to making a BODY of work. Meaning it needs a head, two legs and two arms, not a big gut and ten legs.”

Rihanna hasn’t responded to Azealia’s criticism yet, but it looks like the Navy is holding her down until then.
