Jeezy recently unveiled his latest studio album, Church In These Streets. With the effort, the rapper presents more than ever, an evolved version of his rap persona, who many have grown to deem Pastor Young. Although still aligned with club gems, Jeezy's new LP takes a primary focus on current social events and problems that lie within the Black community.

Church In These Streets finds Jeezy continuing to attempt to open up the minds of urban youth, similar to what was witnessed on The Recession album. Throughout his latest project, the rapper speaks on everything from Black Lives Matter issues to systematic tribulations that wreak havoc in the hood. Listen to the album here.

XXL caught up with Jeezy in preparation for his new album and the rapper gave quite a candid interview. Not only did he speak on his new album's direction and the marker it has on his career, but he also reflected his 2008 hit "My President," and how Obama hasn't done everything the rapper hoped for. Press play.
