Denaun, Royce da 5’9″ and Pharoahe Monch Get Animated in “Cooking” Video

When D12 burst onto the national scene at the turn of the century, it had the weight of inevitability. Eminem was such a cultural force that merely being in his orbit guaranteed you headlines; being his own, highly-touted group meant you had a hell of a safety net. Despite lukewarm reviews from most old-guard critics, their 2001 debut, Devil's Night, topped Billboard and was eventually certified double-Platinum. A decade and a half later, Eminem is still one of music's biggest stars, but the famously reclusive Detroit native has removed himself further and further from the day-to-day hip-hop news cycle. And while D12 is still releasing new music, its members have the opportunity to strike out on their own. dEnAuN, formerly known as Mr. Porter, does just that with "Cookin."
