Tunji Ige is making sure you get your money's worth. The young MC from Philadelphia started to make noise last year with The Love Project, a free tape that was warmly received for its carefully-crafted songs and surprisingly mature writing. Rather than rush out new batches of material, Ige is again revisiting that record, today (Oct. 7) dropping the video for "Ball Is Life." Borrowing the Hype Williams-style top-and-bottom bars for the screen, the clip follows Ige and a...well, friend as they make plans to travel in and out of his native Philadelphia. There are scenic wilderness shots, there's footage of pickup basketball games, there are text messages that are responded to all too quickly. Even the flashback scenes are marked as such. Look out for Ige's live show as he goes on tour this fall with Lido--dates and tickets are available at his website.
