D.R.A.M. and Donnie Trumpet Get Nostalgic in “$” Video

D.R.A.M.'s name has been kicking around news headlines for the last 48 hours. This isn't the way he planned it: Though the Virginia native scored himself a minor summer hit with the Super Mario-sampling "Cha Cha," he finds himself at the center of an authorship controversy about the origins of Drake's "Hotline Bling." (The latter was debuted as a "Cha Cha" remix this July on Drake's OVO Radio show; the addendum has since been removed, and D.R.A.M. doesn't appear in the writing credits for Drake's song.) But he's persevering, with a new tape, GAHDAMN!, due this Friday (Oct. 23). Today he debuts the video for he and Donnie Trumpet's "$," which is comprised of footage found by D.R.A.M.'s own mother.
