We're only one day out from the release of Mac Miller's third album, GO:OD AM. The Pittsburgh native, who last year signed to Warner in a landmark deal that also includes consideration for his own imprint, has been hitting his hometown hard in an attempt to promote the record. But where some rappers would try to play the hard populist angle, to appeal to the proverbial working man in a way that makes people flock to Target on their lunch break, Miller is skeptical of the whole thing. "Brand Name," his newest video, casts him as a seemingly average corporate employee, wearing an uncomfortable, tinny headset and gobbling stale sandwiches in the break room. But it quickly becomes apparent that his character is actually living out a Truman Show-style situation, where his every move is filmed and broadcast to an audience of millions.
