XXL Freshmen 2015 is coming and the freshman hopefuls are gearing up to possibly make this year’s class. With the 10 Spot voting happening now, we have to let the potentials tell us why they should appear on this year’s cover.

Pitch number 13, Shy Glizzy. The Washington D.C. native has quietly been on the hip-hop scene for the past four years, but recently gained nation consciousness with the release of "Awesome," a song off of his highly acclaimed Young Jefe mixtape.  The song later spawned a remix with A$AP Rocky and 2 Chainz, nabbing nearly a million streams within the first week of its release. Throughout his career, Glizzy released a host of mixtapes building a quite solid fanbase, most recently unveiling Law 3. The 22-year-old partnered with 300 entertainment (home of acts such as Young Thug and Fetty Wap) in 2014. Shy Glizzy is the CEO of D.C.'s Glizzy Gang. He dropped his most recent effort "Score" in early March. Watch above as he tells us why he should appear on the coveted XXL Freshmen list.

The XXL Freshmen 10th Spot will run from March 16 to March 22. This is where the public gets the chance to vote an artist into XXL Freshmen Class.
