XXL Freshmen 2015 is coming and the freshman hopefuls are gearing up to possibly make this year’s class. With the 10th Spot voting happening now, we have to let the potentials tell us why they should appear on this year’s cover.

The next pitch is from Chicago MC, Lil Herb. The 19-year-old first popped up on the scene alongside 2014 XXL Freshmen, Lil Bibby, in the fall of 2012 when their song "Kill Shit" started to gain national traction. Drake co-signed the rapper in April of 2013 and by early 2014, Herb unveiled his first mixtape, Welcome To Fazoland. In April of 2014, Herb again garnered national attention when Nicki Minaj hopped on his "Chi-raq" track. Herb also appeared on Common's Nobody's Smiling LP and released another effort, Pistol P Project, last year. Watch above as he tells us why he should appear on the coveted XXL Freshmen list.

The XXL Freshmen 10th Spot will run from March 16 to March 22. This is where the public gets the chance to vote an artist into XXL Freshmen Class.
