XXL Freshmen 2015 is coming and the freshman hopefuls are gearing up to possibly make this year’s class. With the 10th Spot voting happening now, we have to let the potentials tell us why they should appear on this year’s cover.

Eric Bellinger has quietly been on the music scene for a number of years, penning hits for Chris Brown, Justin Bieber and even Mase. Not too long ago, the L.A. based crooner decided to pursue a music career of his own, releasing his debut project, The Rebirth, in February of 2014. The project garnered positive reviews, with special attention on the single "I Don't Want Her" featuring Problem. He's since unveiled Choose Up Season, his latest mixtape that includes features from Teyana Taylor and TeeFlii. He's currently pushing his single, "Focused On You" featuring 2 Chainz, what is said to be the first taste of his upcoming album, Cuffing Season. Eric is actually the grandson of Jackson 5 songwriter Bobby Day, who wrote "Rockin’ Robin" and "Little Bitty Pretty One." Watch above as he tells us why he should appear on the coveted XXL Freshmen list.

The XXL Freshmen 10th Spot will run from March 16 to March 22. This is where the public gets the chance to vote an artist into XXL Freshmen Class.
