XXL Freshmen 2015 is coming and the freshman hopefuls are gearing up to possibly make this year’s class. With the 10th Spot voting happening now, we have to let the potentials tell us why they should appear on this year’s cover.

Last June, Cozz signed to J. Cole's Dreamville Records following the hype from his debut record “Dreams,” which dropped last March. The track landed at number two on Billboard’s Emerging Artist chart. The rapper hails from South Central, and despite the return of ganster rap on the West Coast, Cozz' material presents the opposite, mostly driven by his ambitions for the future. The 21-year-old quietly dropped his Dreamville debut, Cozz & Effect, in October. He's currently prepping an as-yet untitled mixtape for release in 2015. Watch above as he tells us why he should appear on the coveted XXL Freshmen list.

The XXL Freshmen 10th Spot will run from March 16 to March 22. This is where the public gets the chance to vote an artist into XXL Freshmen Class.
