Yes, I do consider these fellas lyrical and far above average, yet in my opinion they’re average at best topically. They’re songs are a continuation of the same old cliched themes we’re all so tired of these days. They don’t need to change with the times, they just need more diversity in what they talk about. It’s like Devin the Dude. I’d say he’s the best at creatively covering man’s vices. He always makes it fresh, but at the same time, how long can you talk about the SAME OLD THING without becoming boring…or without ANY artistic maturity? It doesn’t have to be much. Just show you’re capable.

I love the Clipse man. They really put effort into thier lyrics and even though the subject matter is limited the music is allways worth a listen. I will agree with John Cochran that the quality has declined in the last year. Re-up 1&2 were classics and both clipse albums w/ pharell were dope.

I’m still feeling out Liva and Sandman..they cool but lets just say I focus more on Pusha T and Malice in that order…

these my niggas but they been declined a lil bit. Fury wasn’t fucking with Lord willing and the Re up Gang album was just a remake of we got it for cheap 3. Maybe it’s just cause the Neptunes fell off a lil so they felt the impact too.
