You can call me a southerner too, but I have heard some Jay-Z, Nas, and Wu-tang tracks containing lyrics of “black on black crime”, their baby mommas, and how they get all the girls they want(HIV). A lot of cats are on here judging rappers by the number of record sales or MTV hits they have. Any pro-black or community devoted person would turn down the volume on Nas’s song “ether” or Jay-Z’s “Big Pimpin” or Tupac’s “how do you want it” and turn up the volume on boosies/webbies songs called “Wonder why yo child so bad, and “Runnin”

The moral of the story is that rappers and artist will always sell you what you want to hear. Even Tupac and Biggie did it all the time about the same topics.
