Reppin’: Myself and Dry Rain, I'm from Trenton New Jersey and Live in Tallahassee, Florida

My style and/or skills have been compared to: Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, Nas and Jay-Z

My standout records and/or moments have been: I am very early in my career but I have had a few interesting moments already. Having the artist Skillz show luv on MTV’s Rapfixlive was dope. Also Lupe featuring on one of my records was dope. I also am very very grateful for the overwhelming positive response I have gotten from releasing my music online. It also great that I have my record “Crazy” spinning on Sirius XM Radio’s HipHop nation. MTV and The Source have shown blog luv. The biggest moment so far was probably when I did a listening session for my album in Ny and many industry people and bloggers showed up. I got so much great feedback and it helped to open more peoples eyes to my music. XXL giving me the opportunity to do this interview is also dope!

I have couple tracks coming soon that I think are really strong: "The Name is…," "Second Chances," "Yeah!" (Title may change)

But then I have other records like: "Burn," "Does Anybody Go Hard" or "Priceless" that may end up having an even deeper impact on the people.

State of the Art Feb 22nd.

I’m gonna change the game by: Making music that is innovative and honest, by challenging the limits of the genre in terms of musical composition, creativity and content. I think I can add another level to wordplay, lyricism and songwriting then what is commonly seen in today hip-hop world. I also feel that I will bring music with content without sacrificing quality. I am as authentically me as possible every time I tap into my creative self. The foundation of my brand is quality soundscapes and potent verses merged in the most creative manner possible. Good beats, Good Hooks, Good Raps and Good Visuals= Honors English

I’d Like to Work With: I would love to work with Nas or 3 Stacks and trade verses with a Jay-Z. However I am more thrilled to work with singers, composers, artists and producers to help the public completely understand my vision and scope. I have worked with Khari Lemuel (One of my favorite composers and soul singers), Sunni Patterson (my favorite poet), TL Cross (One of the best R and B talents Ive met) and Karina Pasian all amazing contributors to the new album State of the Art. I am more interested in discovering artists and presenting a new wave of talent that can help usher a new era in music.

My goal in hip-hop is: I don’t really have goals when I am writing I just express myself but as far as putting out an album I do have certain checkpoints I would like to cross. The most important one for me would be critical acclaim, that fans and the world at large can find some real value in the art I create. Secondly I would say maximum exposure. I want to be heard. So many talented artists or otherwise never get a chance to grab peoples attention. I want to make sure that State of the Art is presented in a way that makes people LISTEN. Then they can decide if they like it or not. Thirdly, I would like to achieve financial freedom through my music. Meaning I would like to be able to support myself with my music alone (also related merchandise, tours etc,) and get free of all unnecessary debt. This is a key to the development of wealth from my perspective. Lastly, I want to have a cultural impact. I want to make music that provokes thought and emotion, starts conversations, challenges the listener, sparks people to look at life in a new way and excites their passions. I think this one is the most difficult to judge and achieve.

I’m gonna be the next: I'm going to be the next person that will be so MYSELF that I will free other people to be who they really are. Both inside and outside of music.
