How do you give the "Lyrics" a 4 thats what I want to know. I haven't heard lyrics this deep and entendre's stacked on one another like this from any album from any artist EVER. Good review apart from the rating. And personally I love Lift Off, but I also enjoy the styles of Drake and The Weeknd so thats a personal opinion.

You just gave "Self Made 2" the same rating haha.

THIS ALBUM IS PURE MEDIOCRE! Kanye has absolutley no bars! The only thing he good for is production. Jay Z's ass was supposed to be retired, but he decided to put this shit out to make some more money. Kanye decent flow no bars, Jay-Z has no rhythm and decent bars. This album was way overhyped and desereves little to no attention. Jay Z is awful, he needs to get his ass off of the WASHED UP THRONE!!!!!!!!!!

Na it's not ok. No one looks at movie reviews for a simple minded nigga opinion.
.
.
WTT is st8 fire. 3 or 4 of the songs are bragging a bit too much tho allow Jay-Z to brag about watches and money since he actually has the shit he talks about unlike Baby & Lil Wayne.
.
.
I've heard Bad meets evil, Carter 4 and Red album WTT wins on lyrics. Its like RUN DMC again but better, Kanye is starting his lines from where Jay-z finishes.. old school techniques with new.

One of the best things about Watch The Throne is the lack of dumb nigga features to get attention. No WackaFlocka, no Lil Wayne, no features from dumb ass Drake. They say WTT is gimmicky but it's just Jay & Ye. They recorded 7 tracks in 3 day. The documentary shows Jay-Z spitting from his head without paper & pen just like he always does.
.

.
.
Someone who is serious about music will instantly tell Watch The Throne is one of the best produced music albums.
.
.
Some of my fav produced hip hop albums are:
All eyes on me,
Shyne,
Hell Have No Fury,
It's Dark and Hell Is Hot,
Dark Twisted Fantasy,
The Black Album.

Watch The Throne beats all of them, just scrapes past All Eyes On Me. The production is classic. You niggaz are mad, that little italian jazz sounding music of the skits is a turning point for hip hop. And the song arrangements, many songs are 2 songs in 1.

And best of all there's no pop ass lickers like Eminem "Love the way you lie", or The Games "Red Nation" which has the gayest sample ever, type of shit they'll play in gay clubs. The closest pop track is "Lift off" but that's more like Stadium music.

Beats, = 5 Arrangement, mixing, skits CLASIC.
Lyrics = 4 3 or 4 songs are too materialistic but still true life.
Originality = 6 Some next level shit 6 out of 5 well deserved.

You place "Watch The Throne" in the same music collection as "Michael Jackson Dangerous" and The Beatles "A Hard Day's Night ".

You do not put Watch The Throne in the same collection or folder as Cater X, Red Album or bad meets evil . Those albums are just typical hip hop albums of this generation not classics that will be talked about in 10/20/50yrs.

Before you get all sensitive, learn to appreciate quality before you judge ppl on their street cred. Fuck street cred, really Game is a pussy who name drops, Lil Wayne kisses his daddy, Eminem crys about his mummy, Kanye West is a sensitive big head, Jay-Z brags about shit we don't care bout. Wit that said Watch The Throne is still light years beyond any shit you're bumping now. Respect attention to detail and turning points of hip hop.

BEST ALBUM LAST FEW YEARS!!!

Other than lift off, illest mfer alive the album can be played all the way through. No cheap love songs just for airplay,no forced club songs though niggas in paris is a club banger. No weak ass production.

The content in murder to excellence is so deep.Made in america/why i love you/new day....

The word play in niggas in paris/otis/who gonna stop me,what you need is crazy.

The lyrics in Ham/joy/why i love you/primetime is crazy

The production throughout the album is crazy.Mixing opera with hip hop H.A.M,the samples, the presence on it...CRAZY.The only reason it could be better is it's too short and adding jay electronica on who gonna stop me would have been nuts. J cole on that's my bitch would have made that crack, and common on made in america would have made that outrageous. Best album of the year.

Far as originality, Stankonia and Donuts are way more experimental. As far as duet albums, I'd say Distant Relatives (Nas & Damien Marley) and Gnarls Barkley (Cee-Lo & Danger Mouse) really reached for something new, fresh and different as compared to their solo work. The beats and cohesiveness make this a very good listen from beginning to end (I was surprised Kanye let someone else make beats/ he maybe learning some humility). Rhymes, I thought Kanye really lifted his lyrically game and to be honest, I really thought he stole the show more than a few times (Church of the wild, Who gone stop me and Niggas in Paris). I did, kind of, get the "get rich like us" message, but with so much going on in the world, for two of the more worldly MC's, I thought it was over all kind of hollow. With the status both these men have, I was expecting more risks to be taken, a stronger statement made or getting a little more personal. "I want my son to have an easy life/not like Yeezy life", please, do tell the strife in your life, fuck a thousand dollar tee shirt. I know "Niggas hate ballers these days", I'm not a hater, shit I downloaded and bought it. Is it wrong to ask two of the greatest musicians this world has seen to dig a little deeper, and take us somewhere we've never been before, or a least don't visit often? Is it a classic? Let's ask that question a year from now. Is it an outstanding hip hop album? IMO, absolutely. BTW, Frank Ocean bodied his two shots. Just wanted to give him a shout out.
